Korean auto maker Hyundai finally launched its much awaited luxury sedan all new fluidic "Elantra" in the Indian market at a very competitive price of Rs. 12.51 Lac to15.81 lac. Te New D-segment sedan will be available in both petrol and diesel variants unlikely to the international market.

The all new fifth generation Hyundai Elantra is powered by 1,797cc four cylinder petrol engine which churns 149.5PS @6,500 rpm and a decent 181Nm of torque @ 4700 rpm, and 1,582cc CRDi engine fitted into the new Verna that pumps out a decent 128PS @ 4000 rpm and a rather decent 265Nm of torque between 1,900-2,750 rpm.

New Fluidic Elantra will compete with new Chevrolet Cruze,Toyota Altis, Renault Fluence, Honda Civic and Skoda Laura.

New Hyundai Elantra will likely get two power mills, a 1.8-litre petrol motor developing 150PS of power and 177Nm of torque and a 1.8-litre common-rail diesel engine.

Chevrolet launches new Cruze, priced at Rs. 13.85-15.67 Lac - New Chevrolet Cruze, Photos, Images

GM India launches 2012 edition of its successful and masculine sedan  "Cruze" to keep it fresh. the new Chevrolet Cruze is now 16PS stronger, a whole second faster, headroom at the back and driver comfort.

New Cruze is powered by a brilliantly re-engineered 2.0 VCDi unit, which now offers a significant increase in horsepower from 150PS @ 4,000rpm to 166PS @ 3,800rpm and an increase in torque from 327Nm @ 2,600rpm to a whopping 380Nm @ 2,000rpm.

The new six-speed manual LTZ variant we tested completed its 0-100km/h sprint in 10.7seconds gives a milaege of 10kmpl in crawling city traffic and 17kmpl on the highway.

GM India launches much awaited all new Chevrolet Captiva with more power, more luxury and more muscle. Already popular in the Indian market comes with the changes where necessary as the most significant changes are at the front with the all new bumper, the double decker grille and the redesigned headlights and slight change in the tail-lights.

The new Captiva is powered by 2.2 litre engine which pushes out a significantly more 186.5 PS @ 3800 rpm and a humongous 424 Nm of torque @ 2000 rpm.
