Chevrolet launches Sail U-VA Sedan Priced @ Rs. 4.99 - 7.51 Lac - Chevrolet Sail Sedan Photos, Images

Chevrolet India has converted its spacious Sail UVA in a sedan with a boot and as the width and wheelbase remains the same SAIL sedan and efficient power plants in both petrol and diesel guise will make it a strong consideration over most in the entry-level mid-size sedan segment.

New Sail sedan is powered by 1.2-litre petrol unit developing 86 PS @ 6000 rpm and 113 Nm @ 4400 rpm while the diesel model is powered by 1.3 litre Multijet engine, which develops 78 PS @4000 rpm and 205 Nm @ 1750 rpm with a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.1 kmpl.

Tata Motors has launched much awaited new Safari "Strome" in India with lot of changes. New Tata Safari Strome is a little wider than its predecessor, while being marginally longer and lower, has a a new grille, a new bumper, new headlights with projector beams and new wheels.

The new Safari Storme will be powered by a 2.2 liter VARIcor (Variable Turbine Technology) engine which is turbocharged and delivers 140 ps with 320nm of torque. The fuel efficiency claimed for the 4x2 is at 14 kmpl and the 4x4 is at 13.2 kmpl. The storme also has the best in class turning radius of 5.4m.

Maruti launched Alto 800 priced at Rs. 2.6 Lac - New Maruti Alto800 Photos, Images

India's largest automaker Maruti-Suzuki has launched the all new "Alto800" in petrol and CNG variant based on popular Alto platform. New Maruti Alto 800 is 3.3 meters in length and 1.4 meters in width has been given thinner body panels, a taller roof and better packaging.

The Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 will be powered by the same F8D 796cc engine that powers the current Alto which produces 48bhp and 69Nm of torque. The Alto 800 is available in three variants – STD, LX and LXI for both the petrol and CNG and  in six new colours – frost blue, Torque blue blazing red, superior white, silky silver and granite grey. New Maruti Alto800 will compete with new Hyundai Eon, Tata Nano and Chevrolet Spark.

Ford India has launched the face lifted version of its most successful model, small car "Figo" with more features and new colors - Bright Yellow and Kinetic Blue. The Figo facelift gets a new hexagonal bumper and the headlamp cluster has been revised with indicator lamps closer to grill. 

The fog lamp surrounds are also tweaked and the Figo now gets new alloy-wheels and very few subtle changes to the rear. The ex-showroom Thane prices of the new Ford Figo facelift start at Rs 3,85,437 for petrol and Rs 4,82,438 for the diesel variant.

Mahindra has launched much awaited smaller version of its successful model Xylo, with the name of "Quanto" a compact MUV at a very competitive price of Rs. 5,82 lac. The Quanto has seating for seven, two sideways jump seats in the back as third row. 

The Quanto is powered by 1.5-litre 3-cylinder diesel twin-turbo mill producing 100bhp and 240Nm of torque, gives fuel efficiency of 17.21kmpl as per ARAI. The Quanto will be available in four variants – C2, C4, C6 and C8, with the top-end variant, the C8, loaded with features like the ABS, 2-airbags and park assist and six colour options - Fiery Black, Java Brown, Mist Silver, Toreador Red, Diamond White and Rocky Beige.

Japanese auto maker Nissan has launched its new MUV "Evalia" to enter into the utility market in India. 7 seater Evalia has been targeted for big Indian families and Nissan hopes to sell 2000-2500 units of the Evalia every month.

Nissan Evalia is powered by Nissan’s K9K 1.5-litre diesel engine which produces 85bhp and a torque of 200nm and has ARAI certified efficiency of 19.3kmpl.
