Tata Motors finally launching its first and much awaited MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) "Aria" in October, 2010 likely on 11, just ahead of Diwali. Tata Aria will have a 2.2-litre direct injection common rail diesel engine, which is currently doing duty in Safari and Sumo Grande.

Tata Aria will compeet with popular Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo but have much superior features like of Toyota Fortuner and Chevrolet Captiva at a much lower Price.

Tata showcased its flagship product the Aria at the New Delhi Auto Expo today.The Tata Aria is a multi-utility vehicle which will be sold with a 2.2-litre DICOR engine, and will be sold in 4×2 and 4×4 variants. The pricing of the MUV will be disclosed once the Aria is launched for sale. The Aria sports various features like touchscreen navigation, safety features like airbags and ABS. we estimate the car to cost around Rs 11-13 lakh.
